Originally dedicated to Our Lady of the Raccomandata, the complex was entrusted to the Benedictine nuns, who lived here for centuries, leading a monastic life devoted to prayer and charity.
The perimeter walls of the convent and the adjoining church still bear witness to the solidity and simplicity of Aragonese architecture, characterized by sober lines and the use of local materials.
